Fylogeografie komplexu \kur{Phasianus colchicus}
Effect of storage conditions on qualitative indicators of game meat
MAURER, Jan
This work deals with the health and meat hygiene of venison and especially its appropriate storage. The aim is to find relationships between cooling and freezing game to bring a deeper insight into the work of meat from wildlife animals to achieve superior quality and taste characteristics unchanged pheasant meat. The basis of the whole work is a laboratory analysis of forty meat samples, which were obtained from local organizations involved in the management of game. In this analysis we are monitored four basic parameters: the content of water, fat, protein, and the connective tissue protein, which are major predictive value for a particular game palatability. It was found that exist statistically significant dependence between proteins and connective tissue protein, protein and water, fat and water. It was not possible to reject the null hypothesis about the differences between refrigerated and frozen samples of water, fat, protein and collagen. Conclusions measurements were compared with the available international and professional Czech literature.
Jakostní parametry masa bažantů
Teplá, Lenka
The bachelor thesis with the theme "Quality parameters of pheasant meat" is engaged in production, composition and quality of meat pheasants. It will also focus on the sensory, physical and microbiological parameters of pheasant meat. The average consumption of game meat is about 1 kg/person/year in the Czech Republic. Pheasant is fattend up 11 -- 24 weeks. A male of pheasant is fed into weighing 1.2 to 1.8 kg and a females is fed into 0.8 to 1.3 kg. The average meat yield is 70%. The average protein content is 24%, fat content is 3.3%, and mineral content is 1.3% in the pheasant meat. Its meat is tasty and aromatic. It is also darker and tougher for us than the more familiar kinds of meats. The pheasant have to leave or hang in cool. Chilled meat is cooled below 4 ° C. The hygiene, the proper processing and avoid microbial contamination during processing is very important.
Influence of selected feeding supplements on the occurrence of coccidias in digestive tract of pheasants
ŠÍP, Pavel
The occurrence of coccidiosis is an enormous problem of pheasant farming. The aim of this study is to show, that this disease can be cured by unconventional dietary supplements. Dietary supplements which were used in this study were as follows: prebiotics (Ascophyllum nodosum), probiotics (Lactobacillus fermentum), homeopathics, Sulfacox and scrap from the seed by Vitis vinifera. The experiment took place in the Ranč Daniela farm in the town Hůrka (close to the Horní Planá Town) from 26.7.2014 to 5.10.2014. Six groups of pheasants were made - three experimental groups and one control group. All groups were consisted of 15 individuals. The pheasant Phasianus colchicus was used in this experiment. Dietary supplements were served for two weeks, than the serving stopped for two weeks and continued again. The samples of excrements were tested all the study long using the floatation method in Sheather's sugar solution. The results were marked and evaluated. The favourable effect of Ascophyllum nodosum, homeopatics and Lactobacillus fermentum on the intestinal tract of pheasant was significant.

The occurrence of coccidiosis is an enormous problem of pheasant farming. The aim of this study is to show, that this disease can be cured by unconventional dietary supplements. Dietary supplements which were used in this study were as follows: prebiotics (Biopolym), probiotics (Lactovita containing bacteria Lactobacillus sporogenes) and homeopathics. The experiment took place in the Ranč Daniela farm in the town Hůrka (close to the Horní Planá Town) from 1.7.2012 to 18.11.2012. Four groups of pheasants were made - three experimental groups and one control group. All groups were consisted of 13 individuals. The pheasant Phasianus colchicus was used in this experiment. Dietary supplements were served for two weeks, than the serving stopped for two weeks and continued again. The samples of excrements were tested all the study long using the floatation method in Sheather's sugar solution. The results were marked and evaluated.
